Common questions

What is a brake caliper and what does it do?

Most vehicles use disc brakes at the front, and many use them at the rear too. The caliper is the part that squeezes. When you press the pedal, brake fluid travels from the master cylinder to the caliper, which clamps the brake pads against the spinning rotor. That friction is what stops the car. When a caliper sticks or seizes, you often get uneven pad wear, pulling to one side, or a hot wheel after a short drive.

Should I flush my brake fluid?

Yes, periodically. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, and water in the system lowers the boiling point and corrodes components from the inside. That is why a pedal can start to feel soft even with good pads. Most manufacturers recommend a flush on a mileage or time interval — we will check your fluid’s condition during an inspection and tell you plainly whether it needs doing now or can wait.

Every vehicle gets a digital inspection
